1979. The idea that originates from passion
Cattelan Italia was founded in 1979, based on the innovative spirit of Giorgio Cattelan and his wife Silvia, who make the most of their passion for art and creativity, to produce furniture. Giorgio carries the fragrance of wood in his heart, that he has breathed since he was a child in his father’s workshop, while Silvia, educated and sophisticated, puts ideas together. This marked the beginning of a great human and professional adventure. Today, the headquarters of the Venetian Company are located in Carrè, in the industrial estate
The ability of being both a Brand and a product
Projects, events, new openings, Trade Fairs (Milan, Crocus Moscow, Shanghai, Cologne Furniture Fairs etc.), Cattelan Italia invests in its know-how and in the desire to add an emotional value to the Collection. The Brand image is oriented toward modernity and export activities. “Overseas companies appreciate the reliability of our service, not only of our furniture” Paolo Cattelan likes to remember, who has been at the helm of the family-run Company since 2014. He has been defined as an idea maker, but, above all he is a man of his time, who, when he was a young boy, went to the factory to weld together with his father. The Company Mission can be summarised in terms of preserving tradition, humanising technology and providing a service that is up to the quality proposed. Product and Brand are the combination that establishes the commercial path, where nothing is left to chance.
2024. The first flagship store
The Italian design capital, Milan has been chosen as the location for the company's first flagship store. The building at Via Larga, 23 welcomes design lovers from all over the world. Inside, you will pass through rooms entirely furnished with products from the extensive collection: from timeless icons to the most recent new releases on the market. A venue with a handcrafted yet sophisticated overall look, in which to discover the ideal pairings of shapes and materials, evoking the purest interpretation of Cattelan Italia design.
2025. Sofa collection
Cattelan Italia amplia i propri orizzonti verso il mondo degli imbottiti, unendo ricerca sui materiali, artigianalità e innovazione. La Collezione Divani nasce dalla rilettura delle storiche tecniche artigianali Made in Italy e dalla volontà di ispirare nuove soluzioni per progettare un living moderno di carattere.
